On the eastern side of the island, on the way to Simos, is the beach Lefki, a small beach that combines white sand with rocks, waters with rich seabed and beautiful emerald shades. Often the bay of Lefki becomes the shelter of small boats, since in the southern winds Lefki is the most peaceful spot on the island.
The bay emerges from the settlement to Lefki, at the highest point of the route. The view of Lefki in this place is magnificent. As Dr. Konstantinos Mentis describes it: "Our imagination seeks the temple of Apollo in its historic position" which, as Thucydides mentions, must have been built before the 6th or 5th century BC. At Lefki Cape there are fragments of the Bronze Age (3500-2500 BC).
